Chi sono
Feb 2014 - My girlfriend and I are about to move off our house-boat just outside Bath. We've had an amazing 4.5 years afloat; enjoying the beautiful surrounds and tranquility river dwelling brings. I've been working in the cycling sector for the last 5 years and I am passionate about active travel and environmental issues (albeit I still have a long way to go before being anywhere near carbon neutral or a real part of the solution - 'pedalling' bikes for commuting should help though!).
I've spent quite a lot of time in China where my two brothers live and have spent time working in Australia. I've travelled lots of Europe often heading out to festivals (Sonar / Melt / Dour / Exit / Worldwide) or snowboarding holidays.
I'm keen to see the world, put myself outside my comfort zone (and I definitely do have a comfort zone) and soak up new experiences across the board.
Perché sono iscritto su Couchsurfing
I just want to find myself in places slightly off the beaten track and with real people who are happy to host me! Local knowledge and genuine people add huge amounts of value to any travelling experience and couchsurfing seems to deliver this by the bucket load.
Interessi
I love music (electronic mainly but if it's got energy and vibe i'll probably enjoy it). I've run club nights in Bath for the last 10 years, mainly playing Drum and Bass, Breakbeat, House and a bit of Dubstep and Grime. I also DJ all the above genres and more besides (Cumbia for example!). I love reading; Ken Follett, Tom Rob Smith, Bernard Cornwell, George Orwell and similar. I love riding push bikes. I have a road bike, a crosser and a mountain bike and I try and get in the saddle as often as possible. I love walking and mucking about outside wandering beaches, woods and rivers. Clearly, as with all people I love food!

All covered above!
Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto
I started the UK's first coordinated national Cycle to Work Day and with the support of one colleague managed to deliver a campaign that affected over 100,000 working adults and saw people ride to work rather than driving for at least one day that year! www.cycletoworkday.org

Teach: No one said life was going to be easy, but if you put in, you get out.
Learn: Probably the number one reason I am on couch surfer.
Share: Good times.
Cosa posso offrire ai padroni di casa
Probably very little! Sadly, I only speak 1 language, but if that is a language you want to practice then you are welcome to bounce your english off me! I can share my love for music and reading - swapping books and music is a great way to broaden horizons. I can cook scrambled eggs really well (you keep stirring) and my girlfriend Lindsay is a great cook. I can share my love for cycling with you, if you want a buddy to ride a bike with.
