I'm a senior at Oklahoma State University. I'm majoring in English with a Theatre minor. I'm a nerdy girl from the American midwest. I'm good-natured, open-minded and I love meeting new and diverse types of people!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm a host, but no one will ever visit Stillwater, Oklahoma as a travel destination, so I've never had the opportunity to have a guest over. I'd like to, though! But I'm more likely to be a guest than a host, as I love traveling and I'm trekking about Europe this summer. I can promise to be a most courteous and fun-loving guest, though!

Interessen

I'm very into literature and poetry, both reading and writing. I love films/theatre as well. I'm a huge animal fan, too. I grew up around cats, dogs, rodents, horses, etc., so if you have pets, you are my new best friend. I'm super active, I love sports and outdoorsy activities of all kinds. My interests are pretty widespread, which makes it easy to find common ground with most people.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I traveled out of the country for the first time last summer, when I went to the UK. I'm about to go back, but I think the wonder and novelty of that first experience can never quite be replicated.

I spent most of my childhood summers exploring and climbing baby mountains in southern Oklahoma. Seeing the world from the tops of them was amazing to my little kid mind.

I traveled around New England a few summers back. Maine was the most fantastical place. The forests and the peaks and shores. Man. And don't forget the lobster.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

-I'm pretty well-read and a decent writer.
-I'm a decent amateur seamstress and can sew (by hand or with a machine) to mend and create. I'm a little out of practice recently, but still okay!
-I know how to saddle and ride a horse in both English and Western styles, but I prefer Western. Is that a marketable skill?
-I know a fair bit about sports medicine/human anatomy and physiology. I played three sports year-round for 6 years while constantly being taught about how to best train/heal the body, so... I could be a decent physical trainer, I guess? I can teach you how to stretch, run, lift, and play basketball, baseball, tennis, etc.
-I can read music, sing decently, and sort of play some instruments.
-I've spent a lot of time in and around theatre productions, so I know my way around most of the technical aspects (lights, sound, building, deck crew, etc.) and have studied acting and performed quite a bit for several years.
-I'm a badass gamer. I'm bad at first-person shooters but good at most else. RPGs, adventure and fighting games are my forte.
-I took Muay Thai lessons for about a year. I forgot a lot of it, but I know some basic self-defense. I remember how to break someone's temple with my elbow, so that's something, I guess.
