For my travels, my mission is to truly experience culture. I want to see cities with locals who live there. I love being creative and having fun and I love learning. Travel is the perfect outlet to bring the two together!

ABOUT ME

Hi! My name is Bayla, I'm American and I live in New York City. I'm 25 years old and just starting to get to travel. I didn't have the chance to see much of the world as a child, but now I'm able to find the time to take trips regularly. So far I've been to Portugal (Lisbon, Porto, Coimbra), Berlin and Paris. Soon I will be going to Latin America and hopefully Asia.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy is to try to see each situation from all angles. Sometimes a person can seem irrational or in the wrong, and sometimes they are. But you have to be able to consider where they're coming from.

And I love to have fun and laugh - life without laughter would be so boring, wouldn't it!?

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

In New York I'm very active socially and professionally. I have a great group of friends from all over the U.S. and we go out to bars, see concerts, visit museums, spend time in parks, go to the beach, etc. People-watching is definitely one of my favorite past times and I'm just taking up photography. I'm happy to meet up and show you around the city.
