ABOUT ME

Kate grew up in Salt Lake City, skiing and hiking in the Rocky Mountains. While Baz was raised in the Northern Territory of Australia. He also spent time in the USA and lived in South Africa for five years.
We met in January of 2010, and spent the summer traveling Europe together. After spending 6 months apart overseas Kate has relocated to Australia and we have arrived in Brisbane ready to start a new adventure.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We had some wonderful surfing experiences in Norway last summer, and are looking forward to hosting once we settle in to Brisbane.
We are hoping to attend some community events here in Brissie as well, to get a feel for our new city!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

What a blast! We have had such a great time surfing and met some very welcoming people.

Baz is an outdoors-man, he loves skiing and mountain biking in particular. Kate loves hiking, and photography. We both enjoy food (usually in large quantities), good beer (drinking it, and brewing it!), meeting new friends, and exploring.
We are very easygoing and are happy to spend our time out exploring, having a night on the town or just sitting in and playing a few card games.
We don't play a lot of sports however we are usually up to try anything, and we have been known to play an occasional game of squash or Badminton
Other things we are interested in include yoga, cooking, art, pottery, archery, rugby, and backgammon. We also just started Climbing, and Kite Surfing.

We like a broad range of music from Classical and Blues, to House and metal. We watch a lot of comedy and the occasional documentary. As for books Kate is an avid reader, and Baz is beginning to warm up to the idea.
