Overview
About Me
A language nerd. An avid traveler. I’m currently testing digital nomadism lifestyle.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love traveling and immersing myself in new mentalities, cultures and ways of perceiving the world. It is my personal way of discovering myself and finding parts of me I didn’t even know existed. (that is through languages, living in different places and meeting and talking to local people).
I’d rather prefer authentic experiences than typical touristy ones. So Couchserfing it’s my way of connecting to people. I also like to host people a lot, but actually I haven’t been hosted many times using CS. So maybe it’s high time it changed haha
Interests
I have this annoying problem that I always wanted to do and try too many things and I sincerely think one life is not enough for all of them! They say there is nothing wrong with me, I’m just a multipontentialite, or a polymath, and I’d like to believe it, but in actuality I just want to live 15 different lives where I could develop my skills and have enough time to do all that 😂
My polyglot routine takes a lot of time, but the good thing about languages in that you can read, listen and learn many different things in those languages.
So I’m interested in science,(particularly space, universe, physics and stuff like that, even though I’m not smart enough to understand string theory properly, it’s still fascinating😂), psychology (especially different disorders), I play the piano and I even wrote some music in the past, I enjoy working out(lifting weights) and learning more about it. I used to draw and paint, but not anymore.
I like geopolitics, history(even though I’m really bad at history, but I love to read about the periods of time that are fascinating for me or listen to historians in podcasts) and geography. I enjoy some philosophy, especially oriental, eastern philosophy, even more so if it’s in a form of Alan Watts lecture. It reminds me not to worry about unnecessary things and enjoy life.
Sometimes I can get completely obsessed and all-consumed by some topic and just research it for months and watch and read everything about it, until I hit the wall and realize that’s the best I can learn as an amateur 😁

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to a lot of different music, and it depends on my mood, moment even the place where I am. Since I learn and teach languages and enjoy other cultures, I constantly search for songs and artists in target languages.
In general I love rock music, but I could listen to other genres. I also like this kind of “indie rock folk country guitar” music that almost makes you feel high haha. I did my best to describe it.😄
I like thought-provoking, non cliché-driven movies and independent movies. But sometimes I just feel like watching some silly comedies and relax.
I used to be a real bookworm. But the older I get and the more responsibilities I have, the less time I have to read. But I still keep reading when I can, and I do it in 7 different languages(alternating), which sometimes slows down my reading speed. Strangely, I enjoy binge reading, rather than reading 10 pages a day. I really love immersing myself in a different world sometimes. Maybe that’s another reason why I have been reading less. I usually read novels, biographies and psychology books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Every adventure is unique and sometimes it’s hard to put it into words and convey the feeling without outliving it. But I would say living in India and doing a gap year after uni was a quite extraordinary and life-changing experience.
Teach, Learn, Share
Since I’m a language nerd and language learning are my biggest passions and my favorite pastime, I enjoy sharing my knowledge, my langauge skills and of course improve mine.
