ABOUT ME

Travel has been a life long passion. Even at the age of two I wanted to explore the world. My parents had to tie me to a long rope in the garden to prevent me from wandering of! In 2004 I decided to quit my work as a computer consultant and became a full time traveler. That is of course as long as the money lasts. I now have time to travel a bit more slowly. I like to stay in countries for more extended periods and get to know them a bit better. In that way I spent two years sailing near Corfu in Greece, spent half a year on a remote island in between New Zealand and Tonga and stayed a couple of years in Argentina. This year, 2012, I crossed the Atlantic and settled on the island of La Palma in the Canaries. I really like the concept of Couchsurfing. It proved to be a good way to have completely new experiences.
