ABOUT ME

I’m 27 and from Australia, but right now I’m about to start a year of living in France. I enjoy seeing new places and things and meeting new and interesting people. In the last couple of years I've become interested in learning languages, though I’m starting with French and that's a big part of why I'm here.
At home I'm a musician and a recording engineer for others. I also picked up sleight of hand magic a few years ago as a hobby :)
Oh, I'm also vegetarian, but not a judge-y one :)

I don’t have a witty quote for you, but I just make it my mission to be nice to others and surround myself with nice people. I also like to see and do new things as often as I can.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING While I don’t have facilities to host people at home at the moment, I’d be happy to meet up with surfers when I’m back in Australia and show them around. For now, I guess I’m looking to start couch surfing myself and to meet new people... COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE I have couch surfed a bunch of times, but mainly with friends and friends of friends. I’ve also had four positive Couchsurfing experiences through this site. It’s great seeing a city through a local’s eyes and getting to know new people. I have also been to a few language exchanges at home that were advertised through couch surfing.

Movies & Books: The Green Mile” is one of my favourite movies and books. Other books: Harry Potter series€, every second book by Nick Hornby, The Autobiography of Malcolm X€...
TV Shows: How I Met Your Mother, Friends€, Full House (nice and nostalgic), Alias, Nashville (cheesy, but love it)

Travelling out to a frozen lake in Norway and seeing the northern lights... It was a magical experience that I’ll never forget (unless early onset Alzheimer's gets in the way :-/)

Before moving over here I spent 6 years teaching people how to record music and I play guitar, so that would be something to teach if it interests you. Also English, if you have any questions.

I’m REALLY dedicated to improving my French (which is probably at an intermediate level at the moment) and would be interested in learning a little bit about any language, as I plan to learn a few as the years march on :)

If I can remember how to play (haven’t had a guitar whilst travelling, but will buy one soon) I can play you a song and if you’re nice enough, maybe I’ll share a couple of magic tricks too :)
