About Me

CURRENT MISSION

"Sal, we gotta go and never stop going 'till we get there."
"Where we going, man?"
"I don't know but we gotta go."

ABOUT ME

Like to play it by year and just go with the flow, prefer to joke about pretty much everything if there is a way, no matter how weird or potentially socially awkward, laughing so hard you cry is always an aspiration, although sometimes hard to achieve. I do have 'real' aspirations though as well, and love photography and am currently working on putting a gallery together that will ideally in some way represent the deep emotions I have felt about the places I have been and some of the people I have come across while traveling. I can only say I wish I had discovered my love for this hobby sooner, but better late than never. Respectful of others, whatever your thing is, just do you. Feel restless unless I'm wandering somewhere. Always dreaming of becoming more spontaneous, and tend to space out a lot but always return eventually.

Love languages . Self studied in Korea for a few years for my second language. But am still working on a third, maybe you can help, if you dabble in Spanish or German or the basics of Chinese or Arabic would be majestically awesome to pick up.

PHILOSOPHY
"You like noisy music?"
"Yes. The louder the better. Stops me from thinking."
"You don't like to think? What do you like?"
"Never thought about it."

Just 'create'. Whatever you do, whatever we do, lets create something, and if we do that I think we can't go wrong.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Ever since first starting a journey full of couch surfing back in 2011, from Australia to Japan to Korea, to France and beyond years after I have had nothing but good experiences, and journeys that (in many ways because of courch surfing) were more awesome than I can ever say in words. Met some of the coolest people I have ever come across, and CS made it possible.

And it only reinforced my CS philosophy even more so than before my first experience...

I don't want to use this site for just a free place to stay. I hope to do it to meet some awesome people and learn about the world that we all live in together. If I send you a request it is not simply for a bed or space in your home, it is because you seem like someone I TRULY would like to get to know and spend time with. If there is one thing I have learned from all of the traveling in my life, it is that for me people make the places that you go special, and they are what we remember most of all after we leave.

Please keep this in mind, and also even if the answer is no please try and send a reply!

Interests

Like to meet new people, as many as possible, and hear them tell their story, or as much of is as they'd like to. Just wanna hear it from someone else. I don't know what it is but as long as its something unique I wanna hear it. As for on my own I am a movie-holic, and I think I can go as far as to say that it is my vice; Hong Kong Cinema, underground European flicks, gems from Brazil, finding that unknown movie from across the world that is just so epic and deep and perfectly made that it blows you away and shatters your world. That is the 'high'. Wandering with a camera and nowhere to be photography or writing with no particular thing to write about is for sheezy, chilling on a bench in the sun reading a novel about someone who likes chilling on benches in the sun or is the type of person that if you asked them they would definitely be down for that, getting fired from cafes in Korea (as far as I know I hold the all time record for a foreigner of 7 cafes). Also love reading books people recommend as it gives the spooky illusion of no coincidence when the book hits on those exact notes that you needed to hear, no one has let me down yet, you know a good one?
