About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I am trying to live the good life all the time. Meet new people, try new things, get my feet wet and soaked in a variety of different experiences. LEARN!

ABOUT ME

I am always hunting for a good time, a cultural sponge. Its amazing the amount of awesome things the world has to offer.
I think I'm a sociable guy, easy to get along with, and people say I am a good guy, but I like to mix it up, share ideas, and challenge viewpoints. I'd rather laugh than pout.
Nothing irks me more than stupid irrational people with a disregard towards others and those who can't laugh.

I am currently a project manager, and have worked with startups and NGOs doing technical product development and also agricultural, health and community development work. I hope to move into social sustainability and energy challenges in the near future (where my interests really lie).

PHILOSOPHY

Although often a cynic, I believe in this world and its people. I want to create impact in my life, and I think that means being open to opportunity, to see and do a diverse gambit of things while I can, and drive myself to be the best person and human that I can be and build community with others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

After a friend introduced me to Couchsurfing a number of years ago, I really took to the culture of it. I wish I was able to host more than I have, and despite some resentment to "what CS has become", I tend to find that the spirit lives on-- and I try to do what I can to carry it on. I have hosted and surfed. I am always looking for another opportunity to build the CS community.

Music, Movies, and Books

Love music. All types. Nothing stirs me more than music (and will quite often feel compelled to dance to a good beat). A good film can also have a profound impact on me. Hopefully I can get more into experimenting with both.
The themes of L'Etranger/The Stranger (Camus) changed my life.
