À propos de moi

Passionate about sustainability, I have recently relocated to Sydney to work in the green energy space. Always keen on meeting new people and exploring new places. When I'm not busy eating, sleeping, or working, I tend find myself travelling. I'm a huge sci-fi junkie hoping to hitchhike the galaxy someday.

I'm always down to answer any questions regarding Taiwan or Australia (I've got most of the eastern seaboard covered) or to catch up and have a chat.

PHILOSOPHY

“If you don't stick to your values when they're being tested, they're not values: they're hobbies.” - Jon Stewart

“I’m bored’ is a useless thing to say. I mean, you live in a great, big, vast world that you’ve seen none percent of. Even the inside of your own mind is endless; it goes on forever, inwardly, do you understand? The fact that you’re alive is amazing, so you don’t get to say ‘I’m bored.” - Louis C.K. (problematic, but the premise stands)

AS A HOST

Equally new to Sydney, would love the chance to meet new people and show you around town. Would also love to tag along to explore the city as I haven't hit all the touristy spots yet. However, I do have my own life and unfortunately, occasionally have to live it so I won’t always be available.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Books: Anna Karenina, Catch-22, Count of Monte Cristo, Neuromancer, anything by Asimov, Chekhov, Jhumpa Lahiri. Or check out my goodreads!

Films: anything del Toro or Studio Ghibli. Disney, Pixar, and Tarantino should be on the list too. Pan's Labyrinth is probably my all-time favorite, but the A-Team, Easy-A, Fight Club, Inside Man, Pride & Prejudice, and any cheesy rom com are up there too.

Music: Rap with a bit of a political twist, but otherwise, anything goes. Also a big fan of jazz. My Spotify feed probably has an embarrassing amount of Taylor Swift though.

TV: any crime show, ever. Arrested Development, Brooklyn 99, Chewing Gum, The Crown, Extreme Cheapskates (or couponing, or you get my point), Parks & Rec. Also anything and everything on Netflix: especially Altered Carbon, I'm addicted).

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Launched a rocket up to 30,000ft into the air!

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

I'm into super intensive research into sometimes really niche subjects, but I could give you a tip or two (or vice versa) regarding: composting, gardening, rockets, yoga, and super utilitarian everyday carry backpacks.

Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes

A zeal for life and some quality conversation (at least I'd like to think so). If time allows: a meal, a glass of vino (or three). I can also tell you about the land down under (riding kangaroos to school and drop bear encounters) and also provide you with a place to crash if you ever find yourself here!
