About Me

The boring bit:
I have been trying to enrich my life after following the study-graduate-find a job- work-eat-sleep-work-no life path. I have had enough of this and decided that it is time to go out and explore the world and meet people. I am somewhat shy, especially to strangers! If the ice is not broken between us, then I will be as quiet as a mouse; however, if the ice is broken I can be like a chatty bird. I have been trying to push myself to be more open to people and less shy. The feedback I have always got is that I am not shy at all as you can see from my reference. I have had enough of this sheep life. I want to expand my friends network, I want to meet more people, and I want to have friends in every part of the world! I want to meet sincere persons and true friends.

The sort-of interesting bit:
In my previous role, I am required to travel quite a lot for my work. For those travels I usually turn into vampire as I could not see the daylight. I am required to hide in client’s site while the sun is out and shining to keep myself safe. Sometimes if I have my supernatural ring with me, I might be lucky to be able to catch the dusk and dawn. So how did I survive that? By hunting good food at night! I absolutely love to try local cuisine, they are my life saver. I will walk into a restaurant that is full of locals.

I would like to travel to non-touristic places. I am a more nature type of person, I would prefer a nature or activities type of holiday than going to a concrete jungle. To me, experience is all it matters, finding the peace learning about other culture, makings friends, being able to have deep conversation is more rewarding than shopping, and strolling along concrete jungle which you could see it from google map. All big cities feel the same, busy, everyone bussing around, and there are no people connections. If I ever visit big city, it will down to 2 reasons, 1. There are awesome food waiting for me and 2. The flights are cheap and easy to get there.

I am open minded, polite and respectful toward others..

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To connect with people around the world.

The somewhat more interesting part:
As professor X telepathic power will not help me find friends around the world, I have decided to do something daring back in 2015! I searched for the cheapest flight from my place and booked it! So, Iceland was my first stop. I hitchhiked and couchsurfed for my first time and I was extremely nervous. Iceland was amazing! CS and HH were great too! My host told me that I have broken the record of getting 7 hitches for reaching Akureyri. I met other CSs and they have left very good memories, I am glad our paths crossed and hope to be able to meet them again.

I hope to get to know more people in CS, I never take CS as a place to look for free-lodging. I will set aside time to spend with my host, get to know them and prepare some food as token of appreciation as that's my whole point of finding a host. However, if you are not able to spend some time with me, it's okay and I really appreciate your gesture for letting me into your home.

I am somewhat upset that so many people have taken advantage of couchsurfing as a free place to stay. It has made things so much difficult in here to meet people. Do not send me a request if all you need is a place to crash. Please answer if you are a 'nature or city' type in the first line or I will ignore your request.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a bit old school when comes to music and I am very bad at singers/artists or song names.
Few of my favourite songs:
Home by Michael Bublé,
Mandy by Barry Manilow,
Stayin' Alive by Bee Gees,
Too much Heaven by Bee Gees,
How deep is your love by Bee Gees,
Stand by Me by Ben E. King,
Close to you by Carpenters,
Without you by Air Supply
太傻 by Eric Moo
背叛 by 曹格 and many more...

I like comedy movies, recently watched Big Hero 6 and Kingsman. Oh, I'm a big fan of X-men. I used to love Cyclops the most; unfortunately he died in the early episodes. I'm also a Vampire Diaries follower; sadly, they have announced their last season. I am also addicted to Games of Thrones. I am currently trying to watch fewer series and spend my time more wisely.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveled my first solo trip to Iceland and determined to use couchsurfing and hitchhiking for the whole trip. Meeting few friends and have a really great time having deep conversation with them.
