ABOUT ME

I really like music. I am a music student at the University of North Texas and I plan to graduate this August! I play many percussion instruments, and am constantly adding new instruments to my "crap I need to learn how to play that thing" list. I love most instruments, but to me there is nothing better than a beautiful voice.
I've been lucky enough to travel all over the U.S. thanks to drum corps and other musical organizations. Thanks to North Texas, I got to go to Belgium and France and it was awesome! Now I want to travel everywhere. I can't wait to see the rest of the world! I really would like to visit different countries in Latin and South America in order to study their music.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I tried couch surfing in Hartford, CT and I loved it. The people were cool, and it definitely helped make the trip there possible. I gotta couch surf more often

Interests

I love everything about music, whether it involves teaching, performing, listening, writing, or sharing. It is just the coolest. I also love traveling, building stuff, cooking, and meeting people(even though I'm shy sometimes)
I really like movies, especially when I can see the behind the scenes extras. It is incredible how those things are put together.
I absolutely love Latin American and Spanish culture. The music, language, and dancing are amazing and I plan on spending a lot of time learning about all of them. When I hear Latin Jazz, my hips want to move.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have to give two amazing things, because these were both pretty amazings things.
1. I saw my small dog jump completely over my hut tub one day. It was ridiculous.
2. One of the best musical concerts I've ever seen was Dave Brubeck with his quartet, the UNT Chorus, and the UNT Orchestra. Coolest mix of music I might have ever heard.
