I grew up in a small town in Wisconsin, and moved around a few places before ending up in Arizona.

I worked for an airline for a short time in college, and that's really when I got my travel bug. I studied abroad in Argentina, and I've done some extended backpacking in South America, China, and Europe. But nowadays I'm working as an architect, which only leaves me with a few weeks to travel each year.

I'm a non-smoker, clean and respectful.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

If I can't be traveling, then I might as well help out those that are! I'm currently in a small apartment, but eventually when I have a larger place I'd love to host.

Interests

I like exploring anything outdoors...hiking, camping, running, biking etc. I love taking backpacking trips into the wilderness, exploring the mountains around Phoenix, and lately I've been getting into rock climbing. When I go out on the weekends it's usually to a microbrewery or dive bar.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbed a 20,000' (6,100m) mountain in Bolivia. It was brutal.
