ABOUT ME

After a varied background as a sexual health worker, a special needs teacher and an arts journalist, over the last decade I've been working with migrants, both in the UK and across the Middle East. More than anything, I love meeting new people, learning about their lives, their cities, and what makes them sing. I am distastefully laid back and am willing to listen to your stories for longer than is necessary/wise.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couched cross Europe and the Middle East a few years ago and after such delightful experiences, I am setting out again to have my faith in humanity reaffirmed.

Interests

Essentially, I am a people person who enjoys communicating. Whether that be through art or history, or music, or football, or dancing, or writing, or storytelling, or waitering, or painting or ryhming or swimming, it really doesn't matter. I can adapt to enjoy anything if I'm accompanied by the right person.

There are really too many to mention but I will say that, currently, I am completely obsessed with radio/podcasts and would very happily chew your ear off about all things audio. Among my favourites are; Love + Radio, 99% Invisible, The Heart, Between the Ears, This American Life, Serial, Radiolab, The Bugle, The Promised Podcast, FiveThirtyEight, The Kitchen Sisters, Death, Sex & Money, Free Movement, Mystery Show, Slate Gabfests, Radio Diaries, and Awful Grace.
