CURRENT MISSION

Find amazing self-sufficient farms so I can start my own. I'm currently visiting cities in the Midwest and Northeast to see urban homesteads, and also WWOOFing in the country to learn as many new do-it-yourself tricks, tips, and lifestyles.

ABOUT ME

I just finished a sustainable apprenticeship program in Petaluma, CA. Now I'm visiting farms across the country, meeting amazing people and looking for ideas for my next move, which is hopefully going to involve farming, probably in a city, where I'd like to incorporate education/community development/entrepreneurial business ideas with growing food.

I'm traveling with my partner Lesley, who is a freelance writer and fellow sustainable farm graduate. She's also going to blog about the farms and restaurants we visit.

I like to have fun too and love the outdoors, hiking/camping, lakes, mountains, good beer, cooking, sports, movies, reading, and good people.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I'm hopefully giving back to the CS community by being a good couchsurfer, enriching people's homes, making friends, and sharing my stories and experiences.

Hopefully I'll be able to host people when I have a permanent home again. I've heard a lot of positive things from friends and strangers about CS, so I'm pretty excited.
