About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Currently, I am living in a cabin that was converted from a prefab shed and rent two tiny houses that I built from scratch on Airbnb. All of the homes are located at Wildwoods Farm, a 4-acre tiny house community and non-profit farm. I am one of a dozen or so residents who are living together on the farm in various interpretations of tiny houses (tiny houses on wheels, buses, vans, shed conversions etc). We all share interests and lifestyle choices of minimalism and sustainable tiny-house living, and our shared passion in farming/gardening/permaculture.
My role on the farm is farm manager so I am in charge of designing, cultivating, and planting the roughly 2 acres of growing space we have on the farm using permaculture principles. I am also in charge of managing the stream of volunteer labor that we are so fortunate to receive as a non-profit organization.
Our mission at Wildwoods is to function as a showcase for both intentional community and effective permaculture design, thereby enabling us to educate the public on the various facets of sustainable living.
ABOUT ME
I'm currently 28 but to me, life really started around the age of 21 when I graduated from college and started to explore the world. I spent about 3 years devoted to traveling the world, and had so many life-changing experiences and encounters. Another pivotal moment came around the age of 23, when I did my first meditation retreat-- a 10-day silent Vipassana course. In the time since, I have spent much of time building tiny houses, building the community and gardens at Wildwoods, and deepening my spiritual practice. In my spare time, I mostly find myself in the kitchen cooking or baking something new every day. When I'm not in the kitchen, I'm outdoors and I really enjoy mountain biking, trail running, mushroom hunting, and hammock napping :)
PHILOSOPHY
Freedom is the best thing that money can buy. But it's wisdom that guides what you do with that freedom.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have yet to host anybody! And I would love to! I would love to show you around the farm and will put you up in one of the tiny houses we have here on the land. Until then, I will continue to use Couchsurfing to connect with locals around the world during my travels :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Couchsurfing has been incredible so far! So much good things to say about CS and the people I have met because of it. Looking forward to more adventures in the future, and perhaps even my first surfer (come to Chapel Hill!)
Interests
I am always staying busy with something. For better or worse, I tend to spread my interests out widely rather than focusing my passion on one or 2 things. As a general rule, I try to only engage in activities/hobbies that raise my consciousness in some way. I try to avoid sitting indoors and staring at screens and want more and more to be outdoors engaging with the natural world.

Music, Movies, and Books
Ah where do I even begin.. My tastes have been constantly evolving and building but currently it's blues, soul, and cool jazz for music, permaculture and fermentation books, and really anything that catches my eye for movies.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I just hiked to the summit of Mount Whitney as a day hike! Tallest peak in the lower 48, and boy was it a test of endurance. And such beautiful, breathtaking scenery along the way.
Teach, Learn, Share
All I can offer are stories, but those are best in person!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love food and I always enjoy trying dishes from places I've never been to and I also enjoy cooking and sharing my favorite foods for my hosts.
