ABOUT ME

I am a mom of two young boys just getting back to CS from a long hiatus. We recently moved to beautiful Asheville, NC where we've only just begun exploring the wonderful food, breweries, hiking, art, etc, because we have been busy with our infant and toddler. When I'm not nursing a baby, being spit-up on, changing a diaper, or chasing a two-year old around, I work as a flight attendant--a job that I love dearly and will probably do until I'm in my 70's. When I used to have free time, I did a lot of yoga and rock climbing. I'll get back into regularly at some point.
My other half is a brilliant musician and an Asst Prof of music. We've been to some pretty amazing places together, but there are just so many more!

Geocaching, salsa dancing, aerial dancing, Rock Climbing, Hiking/Backpacking, Photography, Live Music, Humanitarian work, Yoga, the environment, natural healing and living, alternative medicine, everything National Geographic, traveling with kids, roadschooling/unschooling, and good conversation over a bottle of wine or two.

Jazz, Rock, Latin. In particular I like Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, OM Trio, Medeski Martin and Wood, Bill Frisell, Brad Mehldau, Ben Allison, Umphreys McGee, Phish, Dead, Bill Evans, Tori Amos, Stevie Wonder, Bill Withers, to name just a few.
My favorite author is Edward Abbey.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Had a grizzly bear encounter with a Mama bear and her two cubs while backpacking in Glacier National Park.
Performed on a trapeze (aerial dance) in front of 3000 screaming fans at a rock concert on New Years Eve.
Hiked the Routeburn Track in New Zealand; possibly the most beautiful hike of my life thus far.
Hiked the Grand Canyon 5 times (all different trails).
