About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To live life backpacking for a while.. do whatever, whenever, however. Explore the world, meet new people, learn new things, eat new foods.. anything and everything!

ABOUT ME

I'm pretty easy going.. love to talk and laugh and live and learn. I spent 8 months travelling around Europe in 2011 and then settled in London for just under a year and a half until my work visa ended in Dec 2012. I still have the yearning to explore the world so am embarking on a new adventure, so far to to South Africa and back to Europe but really wherever the wind takes me.

PHILOSOPHY

It was a school motto that always stuck with me - be bold, be true, be wise, be you.
Pretty cool.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Just surfing at the moment - hopefully having some awesome times and making some good friendships with people. I plan to host when I settle somewhere and return the favour.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Still a beginner, but so far so good!

Interests

Food and friends and good conversation are pretty much the constant loves in my life.

I'm interested in everything. I love the variety of life so I get a buzz out of trying all kinds of food, meeting all kinds of people, listening to all kinds of music, seeing all kinds of things.. I do love going hiking as one of my favourite past times. I am also really interested in history so I hope to check historical sites out - amazing what humans are capable of.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy most movies except with heaps of unrealistic action - I can't help but think "you should have died at least 10 times by now". But when it comes down to it, I'm more of a documentary kind of girl.

I also enjoy most kinds of music (especially nice jazz) except full on screamo death metal. when t comes to books I enjoy true crime, autobiography or nice spiritual books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I stayed overnight in the Sahara Desert which for me was truly incredible. I can't even describe the beauty of an ocean of sand. I've also shark cage dived in South Africa (now I'm wiser I don't know if I would do it again due to the animal welfare) and slept in the jungle in Thailand. I found myself literally "breathtaken" when I first saw the Colusseum. Wow! I teared up like a little baby. What an impression.

I've also spent an amazing number of hours on skyscanner making pretend itineraries for myself!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to make delicious zucchini pasta :)

Really for me it is about sharing life stories and experiences. I'm always in the mood for a good conversation and am pretty open to talk to about anything. I guess that's a learning process in itself.

I can share my view of the world, my personality and my enthusiasm for exploring new places.
