About Me

I'm an optimistic person, interested in different cultures and always up for adventures. Originally I'm from a little town in Bavaria called Zirndorf (that's where Playmobil is from!). Since finishing highschool I've been moving around quite a bit, spending three years working and studying in France. This is also where I was introduced to Couchsurfing: During my voluntary service in Normandy I lived together with an absolutely travel-crazy girl from the US who inspired me a lot. Together with her, I travelled around Europe with Couchsurfing, meeting so many nice, interesting and welcoming people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really like the whole concept of couchsurfing, the balance between giving and taking. It's a great opportunity to meet new people, share your ideas and interests and a chance to have a good time together. In general I think the whole "sharing" idea is what makes Couchsurfing such an amazing community. I think we can learn so much from each other and I'm always very happy to share my culture and my skills, for example by preparing a delicious German meal for my guests or hosts ;-)

Interests

Politics, spicy food and dancing

I'm always very happy about book/music/film recommendations from Couchsurfing Guests/Hosts that make me discover their favourite artists :-)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was in Beijing for a study semester abroad, me and some friends wanted to go camping on the Great Wall to catch the experience and to watch the sunset. It sounded like a great idea and many travellers we had met before recommended this magical experience. But unfortunately we didn't make it to the Great Wall in time and had to sleep in a parking space. It was still an amazing evening, we shared delicious Chinese food and liquor (白酒) and went up the Wall in morning.

Countries I’ve Visited
