About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To be wiser than when I began.
ABOUT ME
I'm Bea, and I anticipate it's nice to meet you. I am from London. I'd like every page of my passport to be filled with stamps.
I lived in a few different spots before returning to the jewel-box that is London. I eat in pokey places, see theatre as often as I can afford, volunteer for curious charities, and dance whenever my friends will indulge me.
I speak a few languages terribly well when tipsy. I care about the state of Europe and where we can all help.
PHILOSOPHY
Goodness, that would require a little more time/wisdom/years/narcotics.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
As yet, by surfing with some of the wittiest, glitteriest Americans known to man. I will open my hosting doors, but not until I can offer the experience I received- first I need a place to call my own... Keen to surf everywhere really. More than happy to share my slice of London.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
A month of surfing around USA... now in Mexico and soon Colombia!
Interests
I care about learning, about people's lives and the different directions they can take, about choice, about mischief, about literature, about the power to improve through politics, about travel and the bizarre connections that can be made, and apparently about commas.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love whatever forces you to reconsider your own thoughts and granted philosophies. Sudden sympathy for the perverse? Thank you Mr. Nabokov.
It has come to my embarrassed attention that I don't read enough female authors. I will absolutely try and correct this soon.
Movies... or films, preferably. Well I am ALWAYS on the look out for recommendations. I love sinister women draped in furs and smoking with seduction and sass... the Noir films with gangsters and perfect one liners, the comedies with equally perfect one liners (Clueless?), the provocative cinema in the style of Pedro Almodovar, the dark thoughts and beautiful scenes of Paul Thomas Anderson. My humour can be dark. Coen Brothers tickle it usually.
Music! What a glorious thing. I would say I steer away from whatver can be classified as 'hard rock.' I like electronic things, opera, folk, Motown, Scandinavian pop, hip hop... I am open-eared. I like magazines that point me in good directions.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have seen more stars than night sky on a mountaintop in Peru.
Teach, Learn, Share
I suppose I could share my unusual knowledge of London slang. Also I live to eat but not to cook, so let's go to your favourite restaurant.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Gossip on politics and London scenes. Plus dinner out of course.
