Overview
About Me
Back in 2011, Bea and I, Carla, went on a work-accommodation exchange to Italy. There we discovered couchsurfing and since then we have been using it, when possible.
We met at high school and since then we became good friends. Although we don't live in the same place, Bea in Granada, Spain, and Carla in Madrid, Spain, we do some trips together.
So this profile is used by both of us :) sharing is caring.
Bea studied a degree in Modern Languages and Communication and is now studying Sociology.
Me I did business studies and now I am doing social work studies.
I have a space in Madrid to host, but it is in my room on a mattress, so there is not so much privacy or space , so I will put it as available only sometimes. I am vegetarian and so is my flatmate so in the house there is a no meat policy, for respect reasons (to us, to the planet, to the animals)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
If I have a flat and I have some space for you... Why wouldn't I let you stay? There is too much money going round and round accumulating. Sometimes it is just about opening what you have to others, together we are much stronger and we have so so much to share.
the system doesn't want us to share because it will break down into pieces... Let's share :)
Interests
- dining
- cooking
- camping
- swimming
- volunteering
Music, Movies, and Books
We still need to sit down and fill this one together :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Sunset while having a swim in Trasimeno lake... With Bea and Lily, a Taiwanese volunteer who introduced us into the couchsurfing world
Teach, Learn, Share
I can try to teach you some Español! Bea is half French so she can teach you some French!
Always wanting to learn new vegan recipes. I'm struggling with the innovation in my meals here :(
What I Can Share with Hosts
A place to stay for a couple of nights in the Lavapiés area in Madrid. Really in the city center.
I am studying so I am away in the mornings and some days free in the afternoons. I don't want to make the couchsurfing experience something where we compulsory have to share time. If it works, if we have the time and the will to do so, great. But of you want or I want more time for ourselves, an just want to wonder around in Madrid, that's also perfect.
Let's see how we feel :)
