About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Spreading smiles, love and joy.
ABOUT ME
I'm a free spirit and happy to do almost anything. I like being spontaneous and going on adventures. Laughing is important, and raising my son to be the best he can become is a part of my soul.*Update- My son is now 19 and a student at Stanford University!! I love the outdoors, dancing, playing, bike riding, reading, being creative, and cooking.
PHILOSOPHY
Generally believe that life is too short for the bullshit, so enjoy the hell out of it and never take it for granted.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I enjoy meeting people who are traveling around, especially since I am not traveling at the moment. Opening my home to travelers is a great way to learn something new about yourself and anything else.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Most of my experiences couchsurfing have been as host. Which is perfect for me because when a traveller is coming through Hawaii (used to live in Hawaii, now I'm in another paradise) from another country I feel I am experiencing another culture and a feeling of traveling as well. My favorite couchsurfers are the ones who are respectful, clean up after themselves, are earth conscious, and generally aware of their environment. And of course have stories to tell, can laugh easily, and leave a note of simple thanks for the time shared and a place to stay.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love comedies.
I love most music, except for Country, Bagpipes, and Panflutes.
Mostly philosophy, alternative health, and the occasional treat of a fashion magazine.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've been to South East Asia which is a pretty incredible place to be. Culture, food, life, philosophy, everything is different there and it's a great life experience to have.
I've been to Paris, Marseilles, Nice, Amsterdam, Venice, Rome, Cinque Terre, Florence, Bergamo, Milan (at the train station), Tokyo (airport), Taiwan (airport), Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, New Zealand North Island, Australia-Brisbane area, Baja-Mexico, Victoria-British Columbia, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, and lived in Hawaii for 10 years.
Oh sorry, I just read it was supposed to be One thing.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am going to school to work in the Nutrition /Naturopathic Healing field. I love to dig into why people are having the health issues that they are having. How the body processes the foods we eat is incredibly fascinating to me. I also am a dancer and see the incredible benefit movement can give someone. I am also a trained Yoga instructor and currently studying Pilates and more yoga.
I have a great knack at cooking, organizing, gardening, healing with foods and movement, with kids animals and the environment.
Always in the moment...I am in the process of letting go of "myself" and knowing that I am not my body, or mind, that I am spirit... this frees me to create magic. I would love to discuss these possibilities.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Walking distance to the beach. Walking distance to bus stops. Lyft rides away to Redwood forests, rivers, hiking trails, the Boardwalk, downtown Santa Cruz, Monarch butterflies (seasonal), wold renowned surf destination, great shopping/restaurants/people!
I have a futon for one guest and bedding/towels/shower.
Must be okay with cats and dogs. =)
