About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Make friends everywhere and learn a song in each country I visit.

ABOUT ME

I'm not exactly sure where the line between a punk and a hippie is, but in my case there's no line at all. I'm a history/ethnology student who likes to live and travel on very little money, so I can buy more books, beer and stupid things and go to concerts and exhibitions along the way.

PHILOSOPHY

Live so, that when you get old, you won't ever have to repeat the same story twice.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hosted people in Vienna last year, but then I had to move back to Brno. I would still love to host people, If anyone is looking for a place.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I don't have many experiences yet, but so far it was brilliant. I went with my friend to Vienna once, we were hosted by a lovely person and then I decided to join as well. It has been a great pleasure ever since.

Interests

I love hiking, backpacking and reading. Also music, history, art, poetry and languages. I love singing, I play the violin and sometimes other instruments, a little bit. I like making my own clothes, and creating things in general. I have a soft spot for British comedy series.

Music, Movies, and Books

I can never decide on these things. I love music of all kinds, but the genre that's closest to my heart would be probably folk-punk. I don't know all that much about movies, but I really like Sedmikrásky (Daisies), Wes Anderson films and Ronja the Robber's Daughter. I'm not sure if I can pick a few favourite books. I like poetry a lot, some of my favourites are Christian Morgenstern, Walt Whitman, Charles Baudelaire and Ivan Blatný. I also like James Joyce, Oscar Wilde, Anatole France and so on. My life-long role model is Pippi Longstocking.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once cooked a full meal in the middle of main square in one Czech town. And I spent a night on a rooftop of an abandoned factory from the 1950's. And I got tattooed by my completely inexperienced friend on a wobbly table on an anarchist festival.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can tell you a lot about history, Czech traditions and I can teach you a whole lot of folk/drinking songs. I know every stone in my city, every pub, club or a café worth visiting. Also, if you have a lot of time on your hands, tie-dye. I know a lot of ways to customise your clothing. And I can teach you to play the spoons. I'm not much use, to be honest.
