ABOUT ME

We are cheerful, easy-going, unintentionally comic, warm, and welcoming. We're interested in almost everything, looking to meet a lot of great people, and always up for an adventure.

Three of our Favorite Things: food & wine, nature, and thought provoking conversations. We love cooking with friends and have enjoyed preparing meals with other CSers. Bring your favorite recipe and we'll lend you an apron!

We're pescetarian, which is vegetarian plus fish, dairy, and eggs. Things we don't like: sports, mosquitoes, poison ivy. Other than that... : )

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We've had the chance to wine and dine with a CS from Switzerland, one from France, one from Norway and another from Spain. We've hosted and surfed and enjoyed all of our CS experiences immensely -- met some fantastic people along the way and looking forward to meeting more.

We're both music/movie/book junkies on the sly. It's sometimes hard to make the time, but we keep up. I love fiction and Simon keeps up with nonfiction and science. Movies, tunes, it's all good. And then there's the world of Podcasts...! And we're both hooked on NPR.

I can share all you want to know and more about heirloom beans. Curious? Ask me. I'm also a writer and a cook (well, amateur, but things come out pretty well) and can wax eloquent about contemporary literature. I play a mean game of Scrabble. Oh, and I'm obsessive about climate change.

Simon knows a scary amount about all things scientific. By trade he fixes desktops, laptops, servers, networks, mobile devices etc, and he writes a lot of complicated ("but elegant", he insists) code. He also keeps up with physics, cosmology, engineering, research, and nature. He is an avid RC pilot and he can fix anything that's broken -- try him.

We'd both love to learn more about cooking, wine, other cultures, and whatever your specialty is.
