- An enthusiastic reader and language learner, at least as far as I can be judgmental about myself. I love to read history, philosophy, psychology, and other stuff written by people I know. Recently psychoanalysis also got me interested and somehow I feel like it helps figure out who and how i am.

- A spontaneous thinker. I always question how and why things are this way or that way. Why this thing happened? Human beings are intrinsically good or bad? Should I wish to change something?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A Chinese friend - Li Bo Hao showed me this site in 2012. I couldn't imagine anything like this before. Then I find out this is a great channel to get connected. Thanks to Couchsurfing, I got some really good friends with whom I still keep in touch for years! Meeting people in person is a good way for me to learn the world. For example, I have seen many Chinese travelers, one of whom is a small business owner, one is a veterinarian and one studying in the US and all of them are polite, energetic and well-educated. With this being said, I think, regardless of whatever the media talks about, we have to dive deep into the issue and manage to choose what we want to believe. Couchsurfing is a helpful tool for me to dive. :D

Music, Movies, and Books

I like music. BUT I can't listen to it frequently. I have a struggle with the music being heard. This is hard to describe but I absorb what I hear very easily and the melody, the lyrics just cling to my head. They got them replayed and replayed permanently in a corner of my brain in a period of time (in the course of a morning or a few days) until another melody and lyrics come and stick to. I find this irritating. I need music, but I can't stand one type of playing, I'd better shift among genres...

The book that stays forever in my mind is The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand.

The movie that steals my tears is One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest.

I can hardly think of any. Some says I'm humorous and inspiring, while others would say I'm the best of the killjoy. A spoilsport. Who knows? Better not to promise. ;)
