ABOUT ME
Hey there!
Last year I used couchsurfing to meet some more like-minds as I travelled around the States, Canada, New Zealand and Thailand and was mainly wwoofing in these places for board. Wwoofing is a scheme where you volunteer help on an organic farm/garden/enterprise in exchange for a bed and some food.
I think I have led an interesting life so far. I was born and raised in Wales by alternative parents in the beautiful county of Pembrokeshire. I studied English literature at Sussex Uni, Brighton and then lived in Italy for a few years teaching ESL. I have also been a bookseller, tour guide and sandwich maker.
I was living in Oxford for six years, teaching English at Secondary School for most of it. Two years ago year I packed everything all in and decided to travel for some inspiration on how to live my life better and try and chill out and be more creative! At the moment I am working in a cafe in the middle of the beautiful Welsh Countryside and am getting involved in local community based education/entertainment.
Family and friends are really important to me, I guess that's a given?! I really like to talk about the meaning of things with inquiring and imaginative people.
PHILOSOPHY
To try and experience being here right now. To always be asking myself why and not taking the answer too seriously.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like classsic/modern fiction which makes you learn, has a good story, is sensory and provocative. So not much to ask! Authors: Angela Carter, The Brontes, Allende, Le Guin, David Mitchell so many, too many to list. I have been reading stories like a maniac since I was 8.
Music: folk, electronica, indie, world. At the moment: Thievery corporation, The XX, James Mcmorrow, Katchafire, Lamb, Florence and the machine, Groove Armada, Beth Orton, Clap your hands say Yeah, Band of horses, Fat Freddy's drop, Bent, Bran Van 3000 ...
Films: arts, but a good story (Recently enjoyed: Paris J'taime, Where the Wild things are, La meglio gioventu) I have also loved the Wire and am a period drama addict.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Meditation
Natural beauty across the world
Teach, Learn, Share
I am really interested at the moment in living more sustainably and I am thinking about future ways of giving my energy to something fulfilling so always looking for inspriration. I can definitly help you with English as I've been EFL and English Lit teacher. I love languages so always up for exchange, Italian and French especially. I'm not really an expert on much but I play some intruments badly so if you're a beginner?! I can tell you about meditation but all you have to do is breathe!!
