About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.
ABOUT ME
My favorite things are cooking and being outdoors. I want to swim all day every day, but I guess that isn't logical. Im a fan of climbing, kayaking, and hiking and will jump at the opportunity to do any of the above.
Its not often I'm without my ukulele or a good book. I enjoy anything outdoors. I am a fan of running, spending days at the park playing games with friends, and anything french. I'm very neat and organised, but also very spontaneous. I am the opposite of shy when I am in good company.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Every since my first couchsurfing experience with a guy who lived out of his van in Moab, Utah, I fell in love with couchsurfing.
I'd love to meet up with you somewhere and share some stories, play some music, or get outdoors!
I've enjoyed every CSing experience I have had. From CS meetings to hosting, surfing and even just meeting up for coffee and a nice conversation. I try to chose my surfers and hosts who seem like friends I haven't met yet. I want to make longer connections with people than just one weekend hangouts. You can never have too many friends spread out around the world.
Interests
I thoroughly enjoy spending my time with like-minded people who I can talk hours on end with. I also like hearing the opinions and life experiences of people who come from all parts of the globe and different ways of life.
Learning and listening to languages is a big passion of mine, it makes traveling all the better .
I could live the rest of my life hiking from place to place, breathing fresh air, experiences new culture quirks, and meeting new people. Actually, that's the ongoing goal.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Lived in two foreign countries.
Rode motorbikes through the Phillipines.
Going out west, white water rafting and camping for work. Then a road trip with a great friend through Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, and Colorado.
Trad climbing in Colorado.
Doing a month eurorail trip on my own instead of going home for Christmas.
Hitchhiking through several countries.
Section hiking parts of the Appalachian Trail.
Over night bike ride with friends throughout Nashville.
Crawling around in a cave, having a mud fight.
Surfing in Portugal.
Summer music festivals with great friends in the Tennessee heat.
Switzerland and Austrian mountains.
All of the trips I've taken have shaped who I am today and have ingrained the need for adventure and travel in my bones. There is so much to explore.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm no expert in any one thing, more like a jack of all trades. I enjoy learning languages, cooking new dishes, reading a book on my hammock. I spend a lot of time playing guitar and singing.
I have been vegetarian and an off and on vegan for 14 years now. I spent a lot of my university time studying nutrition and food science and spent 4 years in a culinary arts trade school! Know that when I say I love food, I am not kidding.. Being in a foreign country is always interesting as well as challenging in the food department. I'd love to learn a traditional dish from your part of the world.
I can practice English and let you laugh at my terrible chinese, and show you how to cook my favorite (mexican) dishes!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'll be honest and say that I think I'm pretty great company. I'm fun to have around. If I host you, I hope to show you the most interesting things to do, people to meet, and food to eat where ever I am.
