About Me

ABOUT ME

I've become a bit of a workaholic, as I spend most of my time on film shoots now and have limited time for other things. I'm forever trying to go on adventures and trips, and when I do have a gap in my work life I am off and away. I'm very energetic and am most happy when I'm doing something unusual, challenging and exciting. But I do burn out every so often and enjoy a bit of relaxation time. I'm a big fan of eating, very chatty and I love animals, especially dogs. They seem to love me too!

Interests

Action and adventure grabs me more than anything. If I ever come close to something exciting I am on edge until I get to join in. I love anything outdoors related. I'm a massive fan of climbing and skiing, I love kayaking and hiking and airsofting. Last year I did some gorge walking which was phoenomenal. I'd love to try white water rafting, snowboarding, sailing and skydiving, but I'm pretty much open to anything that get's my heart rate up. That said, I'm not a junkie...I'm actually quite cautious and reserved! But I've had a history of having to push myself into things that scare me and I always enjoy myself once I'm out of that comfort zone.
I also love my job as a camera assistant. It's full on and relentless, and very hard work, but I meet a lot of interesting people and go to a lot of unusual places.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Difficult to pick a moment when the first thing that comes to mind is the first day I was able to go off skiing without an instructor. The sun was out, I had my ipod in playing my favorite instrumental tracks and I was flying free in the mountains at high speed with my friends, and I have never been happier in my life.
I love airsoft (which is like paintball for people who haven't heard of it) and there was a time when I was on a 24 hour game with 200 people. At last light we went out on a convoy of light vehicles through a forest, and the enemy team attacked the convoy at a junction as night fell. they shot at us with glow-in-the-dark BB bullets, flashbangs and grenades. I was on the rear vehicle and didn't get hit. I jumped off to find I'd landed next to one of their snipers (and I got him) then I hid by a wheel and watched the carnage happening all around me. That was awesome and scary!
And finally, climbing to the top of Sgurr Alasdair in the Black Cuilins, Isle of Skye. it was the sunniest day the hebrides has ever seen, and when we reached the top we could see across the whole of the Cuilin mountains, across the sea over the scottish highlands all the way to Ben Nevis, and out to the outer hebridean islands. It was heavenly, and I always use it as my happy place when times are bad.
