ABOUT ME

I just finished my journalism courses at Arizona State. It may have taken 8 years, but I've been up to some good business in the process.

I have a degree in visual journalism from the Brooks Institute of Photography. Taking photos, journalism and travel are the three legs that keep me standing. I'm moving to Malaysia knowing that I'm going to be teaching English for a bit. However, my true goal is to see my photography and journalism careers take root in this region. I want to meet the people who make KL the city that it is. I want to know the strangest, weirdest and most beautiful stories the city has to offer.

PHILOSOPHY

Some people know blowing up a bus will send them to heaven. Some people know blowing up a bus will send them to hell. I think it's bad business to think you know anything at all. I can choose between the senseless positive act and the senseless negative act. My hope is if someone had the same choice and the outcome was going to impact me that they would choose the positive. That's enough of a reason for me to make most of my choices around the positive senseless deed.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

It's going to take me a few months to set up but I would love to have people stay on my couch of the future.

For now, my hope is to meet people from the city I'm moving to, especially journalists and Photographers. I'd like to know K.L. intimately.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have yet to couch surf via this community. From cross country trips and visiting old friends from boarding school I have plenty of experience sleeping on couches. Sometimes you wake up with a stiff neck, but you know you're on an adventure.
