About Me

CURRENT MISSION

"Free as a hummingbird"

ABOUT ME

I'm working as a nurse in a retirement home. I like my job a lot, but can't do this work till I'm 67. Why not? Just because I don't feel like it...
So now again I'm looking for a new study, think I will start to become a GP's assistent... :)
Clear that I like to learn new things, even things I never use in life, maybe only during trivia games :)

Also I like to meet new people from all over the world (and beyond?! ;)). Thats one of the reasons I mostly travel alone since it's the best way to meet others, and you can't get in a fight with your travel partner ;)

I'm starting to enjoy cooking, even though it's for only 1 person most of the time. In food, I like to try new things but has to be veggie (or fish once in a while).

PHILOSOPHY

A "wise" man once said:
"Time you enjoy wasting, was not wasted"
And I could'nt agree more, as well as with:
"Life is what happens, when you're busy making other plans"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I started hosting people in 2010. What was a real nice experience. So I will keep continue doing that!

I enjoy meetings, if my work schedule allows me to go I surely like to go! Anywhere :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Beatles where/are the best! If you don't like the Beatles, don't ask me to host you. You don't have to be a fan, but some sympathy would be nice :)
Besides the Beatles I like 50's, 60's and 70's music.

I read a lot on vacation, when I'm at home I hardly every touch a book, unfortunatly. I like reading books written by Sophie Kinsella/Madeleine Wickham, Jennifer Crusie, the standard Chicklits. But Harry Potter is one of my favorites as well.

On tv I watch al lot of comedies:
"Big Bang Theorie"
"How I met your mother"
Also documentaries, on Discovery are favorite as well.
"How it's made" awesome program!! :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

*Climbing the great wall in China.
*John Lennon's piano where he composed "Imagine".
*Western Wall in Jerusalem.

As you see, still got a lot of open spots need to be filled in...

So now i've got a new hobby / addiction, collecting travel guides, so if you have one (or more), and don't need it after surfing here, your very welcome to leave it behind ;)
Besides that, I started my own "library", so any books can be trade for the books on the shelfs :) All languages are welcome.
