I think Couchsurfing is a great opportunity to be hosted by local people and get in touch with their culture, especially if you travel by yourself.
I'm honest, I did this experience only once in the United States because I wanted to try something new and exciting. Unfortunately it didn't go well and it was a nightmare, maybe because the guy that hosted me and I didn't have the same expectations from this type of hospitality service.
I'm pretty sure next time it will be better, don't you think?😜
