About Me

African-Canadian, born in Montreal. I'm passionate about getting inspired creatively through traveling and meeting new people. Trying to get out of my comfort zone :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've yet to start traveling on my own. I figured, through my new job, I'll now have the ability to become your typical "Digital Nomad". Why not take the opportunity to work abroad while I'm in this Graphic Design industry, to meet new people and experience life outside of my bubble. I won't always be able to provide accommodations, since I live with my father at the moment, but that could change whilst he's at work for a few months throughout the year.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: My taste ranges from Tyler the Creator to Jack White to Tame Impala, Janelle Monet, Marylin Manson, It's over the place . Anything impassioned and high intensity are sounds that I gravitate towards.

Books: Anything written by Anne Rice and Margret Attwood! I also like classics such as "Dune" by Frank Herbert and "Inferno" from the Divine Comedy.

Movies: Oh boy... Let's try to condense this, haha. I LOVE movies.

Blade Runner
Pursuit to Happiness
Mad Max: Fury Road
A Beautiful Mind
A Quite Place
Casino
Chicago... I can keep going on and on..

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'd say me becoming a youth leader for an after school program called Leave Out Violence. I used to do public speaking in front of highschoolers within the city about my personal struggles with being a witness to violence throughout my childhood. This program helped me reach people from all walks of life. This experience was a very pivotal period of my life. To change the lives of others including myself was a very gratifying experience.
It saved my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

- I can teach you how to use Photoshop & Illustrator from my laptop or your computer if you own these programs.

- I can teach you mini-fashion design lessons (ex: sewing, pattern making, trend analysis & textiles)

- Cooking is something I really enjoy, so learning new recipes for myself or teaching you the basics is something we should share together :)

- I always find it difficult to find people who enjoy horror movies. If you share this issue, we can totally binge on some macabre stuff. If you can handle films like L'interieur and I Saw the Devil, we can be fast friends :D.

- People have told me that I good company. I also understand the importance of a good listener. Most things aren't taboo for me, so I'm good to lend an open ear and heart.

What I Can Share with Hosts

- I enjoy teaching about any technical skills that I've acquired throughout my career.
- Awesome hugs! Unless you prefer not to do such things with strangers, then I totally understand :)
