I want to learn to see all the beauty and excitement of the created world in a way that I can communicate with the people around me.

ABOUT ME

Travel-bent, dance crazy, tea junky from Texas. I love a good laugh, and a friendly competition. Totally enthralled by the idea that there's a whole world full of diverse people, and climates, and cultures all created by the the same God and organized to his glory.

Lindy Hop is currently my favorite form of dance, and I'd love to teach some to anyone who's interested!

I'm currently learning German; I speak at an A1 level, but understand A2. Not much, but I'm working it.

P.S. I have one negative response that says I didn't show up. To be clear, I had a technology/internet malfunction, and we were never able to even set a date. Since I was not expected at the persons house, "never showed up" isn't strictly what happened. I have since apologized for the inconvenience.

PHILOSOPHY

People who think life is boring aren't trying very hard to live, and occasionally I fall into that category- let's shake it up! There are so many things to see and do, even if we have a limited budget.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm working in Germany and traveling in my time off these days, so I am unable to host for the time being. Surfing it is!

I fully intend to be dancing until the day they pat me in the face with a shovel if I have any say in the matter. Right now I mostly swing dance (Lindy Hop, 20's Charleston), but I also square dance (mainstream level) on occasion, and have done several other types of dance in the past.

Hiking; I've never done anything hardcore, but I enjoy it.

Tea; does that count as a hobby? Surely.

Reading; mostly SCIFI, adventure, fantasy, espionage. Not Twilight ;)

People watching; "What are we here for, but to make sport for our neighbors, and laugh at them in turn?" ~Mr. Bennet, Pride and Prejudice.

Singing; I'm not a pro, but I can keep the tune in the bucket ;)

Dabbling in languages; I can't really say anything more than 'what time is it?', 'where is the restroom?', and 'the apple is red' because I tend to dip my toes into a language for a little while and then get sidetracked. I don't have anyone to practice with either, so my motivation has been low. I'd love to actually put in some effort with real people in a more practical environment!

Not a very long list, huh? Let's expand it! I'm open for suggestions!
