About Me
Hi!
I am Beatrice, a Swedish-American girl currently on exchange in Brisbane, Australia. Back home, I study Industrial Engineering and Management while working part time as a Zumba-instructor. I enjoy books, music, seeing new things and talking to people, amongst other things! I'm currently planning a 6 week trip around New Zealand and Australia in the hopes of meeting beautiful people and seeing amazing things.
Please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions or would like to talk - you can never have too many friends!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To potentially find interesting ways to see new places. I tend to find that the "usual" touristy way of traveling means that you miss so many interesting things that aren't in any tour guides - I'm hoping to meet people who will help me make the most of my trip.
Growing up in a mixed household, travel has always been a big part of my life. I love seeing new places and meeting new people, and much prefer wandering around aimlessly to doing "typical tourist stuff". I enjoy traveling by foot or bike, and a big part of my trips seem to consist of eating ice cream and walking. I would definitely hope that anyone hosting me could tell me the best ice cream spot in town!
Interests
Traveling is basically my life. I get restless if I stay in one spot for too long. I love reading, music and laughing more than anything (good lord that sounded cliché). Friends are hugely important to me, but I'm not sure I'd consider them "interests" ;)

Music, Movies, and Books
I will listen to just about anything, and watch any movie that isn't horror (Stephen King's IT scarred me for life!). When it comes to books, my tastes are varied, although I stay away from horror and mysteries, and tend to gravitate towards Fantasy. Harry Potter is a huge favorite.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Three week safari in Tanzania. My father grew up there, so to go back and see all the magnificent places I've grown up hearing about was beyond amazing.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'd love to share travel stories and discuss whatever happens to be going on in the world. I'm a pretty awesome baker, although that's hard to do when traveling - but I might be able to whip up a chocolate cake some evening!
