Overview
About Me
Hi there! My name is Constance and I'm firstly an animal lover. I also enjoy dancing, taking about psychology, exploring vulnerability, music festivals/burns, and gardening! I love being in new cities and wherever I go, I want to find activities that help preserve ecosystems and save animals. I feel that makes a trip feel genuinely worthwhile and rewarding. I'm a generally a frugal person and the only thing I really like to splurge on is a good vegan restaurant.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think traveling should be affordable and immersive experience.
A good tip before requesting to stay with anyone is to make sure that your profile is compete with a good bio, at least a couple of pictures, verification of identity, and at least a couple detailed references. All of my experiences with this app have been very positive partially because I have a fairly stringent screening process. It takes a lot of trust to invite a stranger into your home so please keep that in mind when making a request.
For men, if you have no references, it's almost certainly not going to work out. I'm sorry, the social climate right now just necessitates that you have to work harder to earn my trust. I would rather you know that earlier on.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen mostly to electronic music or songs with female vocalists. I also enjoy mash ups of different genres. I'm a huge fan of music festivals and hope to go to Burning Man in the future. That would be a dream. Definitely looking to go to more local festies too now that I have a more free schedule.
I'm a big podcast listener and especially enjoy true crime, comedy, and science genres.
Spirit: Stallion of the Cimmarron makes me cry like a baby everytime I watch it. 😭
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I totally called it that eating coconut oil was bad for you! Saturated fat is bad no matter where it comes from.
I'm also future calling it that bread and pasta does not make you fat and the protein deficiency in America is a myth. Let's see if that makes the headlines anytime soon...
Teach, Learn, Share
Even though my family speaks Cantonese at home, there is still so much more I want to learn to improve my conversational skills. I would also like to eventually learn Spanish. I took French back in high school so I know basically no Spanish which definitely makes the pool of people that I can talk to a lot smaller.
I want to learn about your culture and your religion. This past summer, I joined a Muslim friend in fasting for Ramadan for a couple days and learned a lot through it.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My friendship, good conversation, and a nice meal.
