About Me

Brazilian student currently living in the Netherlands.

I've always been passionate about traveling and getting to know different places and cultures. I've traveled a bit in Brazil staying in relatives, friends and friends of friends places (never through this platform though), now I'm looking forward to explore Europe!

As a full-time student (biotechnological eng. (BR)/ biomedical eng. (NL)), I tend to keep my traveling activities to long weekends and holidays and as low-cost as possible. You know how we always manage to be busy and broke as hell!

July and August are the months preceding my way back to Brazil and my classes will be done by then. I'll be already out of my apartment (so I cannot host anyone, unfortunately) and I intend to wander through Europe a bit more, with friends or by myself. Hope to find some hosts to make the experience even better.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Getting to know nice and different people. As a guest it's all about getting more in touch with the place culture, local customs and get local tips about activities that are out of the usual path. Beware, I'll ask you all about food and your favourite places to eat or have some coffee :)
As a host it's all about helping people to have an experience as nice as the ones you get. I haven't hosted anyone from the platform yet, but I've hosted people that I've met through friends and I loved it. It's a way of experiencing the excitements of traveling without leaving home!

Interests

I really like science, and books, music and movies. I'm fascinated about the aspects of learning a new language (even though I know very few of them myself) and communication in general. I really enjoy learning random facts about things. And food, always food.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm afraid I don't have an especific type of music that I like, I just listen to whatever my mood asks for (lately that has been a lot of folk music, movies soundtracks and trashy-pop brazilian music).
Same goes for movies and books, I do have the ones I run for whenever I want to be sure I'll be entertained. They're not usually the types people "brag" about liking, though :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Putting school in Brazil on hold and coming to the Netherlands for one year has been the best decision and most amazing thing I've done so far. Looking forward for making the most out of this and having more to put in this box!

Also, I went to Manaus - AM. I toured through the Amazon Forest by boat, including some friendly contact with a sloth, some Native Brazilian meetings and feeling the water temperature changing in my hand between the rivers in the Meeting of Waters. That was pretty amazing, I would say.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If you're interested in any of the languages I know something about, I could help you with that.
I am not the best cook there's ever been, but I know my way around the kitchen. So we can have some nice meals together (including some Brazilian snacks, if I can put my hands on the ingredients).
