My name is Beatriz, I'm 23 years old and I was born in Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais (Brazil). In 2012, I finished a technical course in mechanics at Federal Institute of Minas Gerais - Campus Juiz de Fora and in the following year I started the course of Environmental and Sanitary Engineering by the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF). In 2018 I had the opportunity to make an exchange in Portalegre, a small town located in the Alentejo region of Portugal and it has been an incredible experience! Here I am having the opportunity to meet new people and go through moments that I have never imagined. I am currently studying biofuel production technologies at the Polytechnic Institute of Portalegre (IPP) and it has been very enriching not only for my professional but also personal growth.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It is the first time I am in Europe and I would like to make the most of this experience. I believe that Couchsurfing is a great opportunity to meet new people and share experiences. The moments experienced in the exchange have been memorable and to have the opportunity to meet people and different cultures will enrich my experience even more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Since I was a child I lived in the same city and at the same house. I had never traveled by plane and leave the comforts of home, going alone to the other side of the Atlantic, made me realize that I can get anything I want! It has been an incredible experience and I will take the people I met during the interchange all my life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my life experiences and show the Brazilian cuisine! I believe it will be an incredible experience and we can go through many great moments together! Unfortunately at the moment I can not receive people in my house, since I am living in a student's residence. But when I return to Brazil it will be a great pleasure to offer my house to anyone who wishes to know my city and state!
