ABOUT ME

I am a painter from Spain. Half spanish half french working and living in Berlin Germany. You can see some of my stuff at: www.beatrizcrespo.com

I am a pasionate of art in all its forms, and also a super dancer... it doesnt means that im incredibly good doing it but that i can dance whatever... i love to do it just :-) i can even dance to the music of a chinesse postcard!

PHILOSOPHY

I have been catholic (im from spain that's quite normal) then i got in to yoga (not only the gymnastics but the philosophical way) and Buddhism... now indeed, i have learnt that one may to find their own path and make it while walking. Life is a nice gift and the fact of its imprevisibility is just something that make it precious.

As an artist my life is my art. That means that all what i experiment and understand along the days are a feed than will appear after or before in a body of work. I have the certitude of that the different art feed themselves. Listening o looking a dancer perform or talk about rythm or body conscience, i learn about how to depict the abstract thoughts that rely in my art for example...

I think that every being in this planet have something powerful and interesting. Im somehow existencialist, i really believe that we can change our lives and our world and we may to be consequent with our lives and take decisions. To dare to try to achieve our dreams, because there is nothing more sad that this thought of what could be, but i never dare to try...

Life is an amount of fails one after the other, without failing we cant learn, and failing may not to be something bad, ist just a process... listening is important... Listen and be open, the life will show you new paths and possibilities each second of your life...

When i was young some people listened to me carefully and helped me in my way to be an artist... they bought me books or they give me advice, or just listened to me when i was needing a friend...

Now im a teacher for art, and i like to make it a lot, i like to show my students that every human soul can make art, and the fact of trying it is already something liberating.

Im trying to spread the best feeling everytime that is possible...
Beauty and warm way of being can really make a difference in our lives, so, if you have nice thought of something or someone, the best is to say it or show it.

Indeed i think that all what i wrote is kind of normal to each one of us. ;-) I hope i didnt be too much boring... Sorry X-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Im hosting travelers when my home permit it.
Im a freelancer, sometimes you can catch me with a lot of work and i will be only able to host you and make nice breakfast and dinner. If we have luck i will be able to take you to the city and explain you all the histories about it that i learnt. I some useful things as Maps and guides in english.
You will not may to worry about blankets and towels we have all what you need.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing couchsurfing.... ah!
I was already hosting couchsurfers without knowing that this system-association exist. For me to be welcoming and knew interesting people is just natural.
I get to know like this this amazing Canadian Poet ;-) Jonas Fo_
He came the day before of my solo exhibition Verdandi and caught me preparing the last frames. We pass the opening together and was so nice to speak about poetry with him! I learn a lot about Canada and i get to know their revolution, that was like ours one in Spain. We make breakfast in the roof and walk along berlin streets, sing and laugh near the canal. I introduce him my artist friends... I was loving the fact of that he is so young but incredible mature, he was very natural among my friends (some of them with already 40-50) and we all together make nice evenings.

Then i was in Gent hosted by the lovely Erik. To be at his home it feels like to be in yours one. He waked up making the sing of birds and smiling. I like so much positive people!!!

And I hosted for 3 different times the wonderful Dancer Tomasz from Poland.

Some of my best friends in Berlin come from Couchsurfing Art groups and i found my love also here -well we found each other-...

Couchsurfing experience is amazing... Makes me feel well that's it!
And feed my need of know other cultures and how the people of different parts of the world lives.

Hospitality, cultural and human exange and nice mood, That's it.

Berlin is complicate guys. Im an artist and sometimes as im a foreigner i cant get a rent for more than 4 months. So it means that im moving very fast of address... wich is sad and also complicate when you need to receive a postcard form couchsurfing...
I hope you understand this.

Interests

The serious one:
Im deep in to arts, and unterstanding the magic of human being related to nature and science.

The Dancer:
I love to dance, is amazing, if i just listen a bit of music i am already dancing without noticing. I love to see people dancing their own invented styles, and expressing themselves.
And what i really like is to laugh! :-) A lot!

Music, Movies, and Books

Im not going to fill this section, because indeed i like much, and is a pity i feel im not fair with the ones that dont appear in the list...

I like to read to poetry and theater, some Aestethics tesis and sometimes Novels. I have read spanish and french authors overall because of my nacionality.
