Hello. I am Beatriz, I am an experienced solo traveller and work in political education field. I am a researcher and lecturer at the University finishing my PhD on national and european identity. I do not use couchsurfing for accomodation but hope to meet travellers and locals along the way. I am a good photographer and model so would love to take pictures of others and get pictures taken at main attractions. I also love nature and gastronomy, so these are my focus when I travel. Plus great passion for History and culture, for this reason I am mostly connecting with locals and asking them questions about their everyday life.
With me you can talk about politics, History, travel (especially in Eastern Europe, Balkans, Baltics, Central Asia) and also IT (I studied front-end development in my freetime). In my free time, when I am not traveling, I go to the gym, organize daytrips in my area, meet up with my friends. I can watch documentaries or read blogs about my dream travel destinations for hours. I might appear a bit serious at first but... well I am :D I am a reserved person but my fascination about social sciences encourages my wish to meet people from all over the world here and deepen my knowledge in History, Culture and Politics.

Been on Bulgarian national television as the Brazilian girl who likes Bulgarian music. Been on Uzbekistan Airways magazine after travelling to Uzbekistan on my own. Published my articles in peer reviewed magazines, open and free to access for everyone, because I want science to be shared ❤️
