COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I heard about CouchSurfing in 2008 from a guy who sold me my first motorcycle, "Colonel Kathleen".
-I've had a few great surfing experiences so far.

I've made some great friends from all over because of my tendency to do last minute requests while hitching through cities. :)

In 2008, I was hit by a car while standing in the middle of a street.
-It took me 6 months before I walked completely on my own again. I spent a lot of that time thinking about my life and what I really wanted from it.
I think I consider it to have been a very positive experience.

-And at the end I got a big wad of cash from an insurance company! :)

I imagine the hithchhiking has provided some pretty intense experiences, too.
-Once, in April, I was hitchhiking in Ivy Lea, Canada (which barely counts even as a town).
It was a gorgeous, almost cloudless sky one day.
And about 65 degrees or so.
I couldn't get a ride, so I slept under an overpass that night.
-And the next morning a snowstorm seemed to appear.
I was very surprised.
-I'm from Texas.
--Texas is warm.
---And snowstorms are cold.
