Overview
About Me
I used Couchsurfing pretty extensively in 2013 when I was backpacking through Europe and hosted a couple of times when I got back but kind of got away from it the past few years. I now live in a van and am driving around North America. Contrary to popular belief, if you google "Creeper Van" mine is not even on the first row. It is, unfortunately, the first one on the second row.
I am pretty easy going, especially when I'm on the road. There's that Steinbeck quote I like to remember when a trip throws me a curveball: "We don't take a trip. A trip takes us."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've been using Couchsurfing while I'm on the road just to break up the monotony of solo travel. I don't really need to stay on your couch, but I'd really love to meet up and explore your town.
Interests
Skiing's my winter thing. Spent most of the winter in Whistler. Just got out to the east coast in time for summer. Pretty excited about exploring this foreign land in my own country.

Music, Movies, and Books
Radiohead, The Roots, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Brockhampton. Been listening to the newest Shakey Graves album a lot lately. I'm kind of all over the map in my preferences and even spread even more widely when it comes to taste. I'm not usually one to steal the aux chord. I'd prefer to just listen to what other people want to play.
Books:
1984. On the Road. Travels with Charley. Currently reading The Omnivore's Dilemma.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Running with the bulls was wild. The rush was unparalleled in my life. Just immersing myself in such a rich tradition was a magical part of my 2013 adventure.
And yet, I really felt torn about my experience. Where do you draw the line between culture and animal cruelty? Been a vegetarian for about two months, but I promise I won't be one to throw that in your face.
What I Can Share with Hosts
This section is weird. I'm supposed to talk myself up? Uh, okay. I think I get along with most people I interact with. It's odd, I seem to dislike so many aspects of society as a whole and yet find that I enjoy my time with most people.
