ABOUT ME

Of course I enjoy travelling but seem to be taking my gap year in bite size chunks. I think I'm about 9 months in! When I get to 12 months it'll be time to do it properly. I enjoy new experiences and I'm prepared to get off my couch and to try new things, but have a short attention span so tend to move onto the next thing too early. I can try to control things too much and need to learn to go with the flow a bit more.

PHILOSOPHY

What goes around comes around so treat people the way you'd like to be treated. Also, happiness is a lifestyle choice. Everyone can find things in their life to complain about. Take a moment to appreciate what you've got and you'll be a happier person for it.

I attend events where I live and when travelling. I've now surfed for the first time!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed in Istanbul after a short trip to Turkey. The experience was very positive and I will look to repeat it again.

Interests

I'm a Birmingham City FC supporter, hence my pseudonym. I like country walks and have a motorbike. I SCUBA dive, but prefer warm, clear water which limits the opportunities. I have been known to salsa, but mind your toes. I also enjoy the theatre and going to watch live music from Stereophonics to Beethoven.

A homestay with a Peruvian family on an island in Lake Titicaca. All too brief unfortunately.
