About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My mission is to live life to the fullest and love people well.

ABOUT ME

I like meeting new people and talking to people. I like playing games and having fun. The house my wife (Teagan) and I live in is too big for just us so you should come and help fill it. We choose our neighborhood because it's a place others didn't want to go. It seemed like the way Jesus would have picked a house. Well, if he wasn't homeless. We hope to learn from and love our neighbors, and to help improve Saginaw in small ways.

PHILOSOPHY

I hope to be a relationally focused person who learns from others and helps meet practical needs.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My wife and I found a place to stay through couchsurfing when visiting my brother-in-law. By pure coincidence they were his next door neighbor!
I've also had great experiences hosting people through couchsurfing. Everyone that surfs at our house has been very interesting and friendly. The first time I met someone for coffee from couchsurfing I was offered a free trip to New York City. I accepted.

Interests

juggling, ultimate (Frisbee), unicycling, board games, running, biking, reading, ice cream.

Music, Movies, and Books

Authors: Shane Claiborne (I met his housemate through couchsurfing), Donald Miller, Wendell Berry, Jim Wallis, Richard Foster, A.W. Tozer, Brother Lawrence, C.S. Lewis.
Music: Pedro the Lion, Psalters, Ben Folds, Bright Eyes, Sufjan Stevens, The Impossibles, Johnny Cash

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Dr. Evermore in Baraboo, Wisconsin. You should visit before he dies. This guy makes sculptures out of scrap metal and it's free to see his creations. He has a very large collection that range in size from very small to as big as a house. It's amazing. You should go.

Teach, Learn, Share

If we meet I can teach you how to juggle! My wife can teach you to knit and crochet.
