About Me
Hi everyone,
Currently Grant and I are out of Australia travelling so we've had to change our status to not accepting.. we are just now beginning our first adventure in surfing and look forward to hosting the world when we return!! :D
My name is Bec and I am from a town called Bendigo, about 2 hours drive from Melbourne in Australia.
I live here with my boyfriend, Grant, and our cat "kitty smalls". We have on offer a single bed and a couch. One of my favourite things to do is talk travel stories and culture. My town has not much to offer (apart from a great gold mining history) so we don't see too many visitors but if you are coming to stay or even passing through send us a message!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I made this profile in 2015 before I went off on a solo (just over) 1 month tour of Europe squishing in as many cities and sights as I could. In the end i decided to give hostels with other travelers a go. Now in 2016 Grant and I are about to embark on our first big trip together (and my 3rd big trip overseas) traveling to Thailad, Europe and then ending in Canada to start a 2 year working visa so this time I really wanna meet the locals.
The main reason I am on couchsurfing is simple - I love to travel and i love to hear about travel. I'd love to see the city from a locals point of view and whenever i travel i always try to look for out of the box activities and places to see.
Life is too short to be boring.
We are both very respectful people, if you need quiet by a certain hour you wont hear from us after that time. We are both clean and tidy people and happy to help in the house if you need it :)
We'd love to be shown around and make both memories and great friends with you if you have the time - please come visit Aus, i love my international friends!! :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In 2015 i spent a month travelling Europe alone and it was the best thing i ever did, no tour groups just me and my backpack making heaps of friends in hostels along the way! i would highly reccomend solo travel to anyone interested. You find a whole new you and gain so much confidence doing it alone :)
