ABOUT ME

I am a 26 year old from Hobart, Tasmania. I have a great sense of humour (I seem to particularly enjoy my own jokes) and am very down to earth and friendly. I have the ability to get along with almost anyone and enjoy the company of others! I love coffee, food, wine, coffee. Food... Wine. I have a keen interest in the hospitality industry and love eating out/cooking at home/anything involving food/wine consumption!!

I also studied Art History/Literature and love wandering galleries, art shops, book shops, boutiques etc.. All of the pretty things. I like reading, watching films, bizarre and interesting conversations and I also love cats.

I'm a very light hearted person who never takes anything too seriously, I like having fun and making the most of things! I'm not overly outdoorsy but I am openminded and enjoy pushing my boundaries...

PHILOSOPHY

I love making people laugh, and so it turns out, I'm pretty good at it! I don't believe in taking things too seriously, and if you always follow your gut (or maybe it's your heart?) then you won't have any regrets. Just do what you want when you want and enjoy it!!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Bec: This is the first time I have had a personal CS account, but I have hosted many couch surfers over the past few years in my home town of Hobart, Tasmania (who were accessed through my housemates CS account). By doing this I have met some wonderful people, most of whom I have stayed in touch with and who have become friends for life! Couch surfing has been a wonderful way of meeting people and helping people find travel easy and fun, and supporting this has been very rewarding. Our longest couch surfer stayed for 55 nights because we loved him so much!!! (this was a very one off occasion!)

Through my housemate Bridget (who is also on couch surfing if you wish to consult her for a reference) we managed to host about 10 surfers, at different times.

It's now my turn to do the surfing!
