About Me

I'm a 25 year old law student currently living in Brisbane, Australia. I work as a cocktail bartender and have a great passion for learning about all things booze related such as different appellation laws, pairings and distillation methods. I enjoy exploring new bars and trying new food and drinks.

My previous job involved coaching, judging, performing, and competing in various gymsports such as Acrobatic Gymnastics and Aerial Circus (mainly Lyra, Silks, Adagio, & Static Trapeze). I still like to keep active - although I am definitely not as fit as I was!

I am always up for an adventure, always excited to meet new people, and always looking to learn and try new things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the idea of being able to meet locals, and also have an idea of what they might be like before maybe meeting up with them or staying with them, so this seems like a great opportunity to meet some new people and stay in some new places in a safe way.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a really wide and somewhat eclectic taste in music. My favourite artists range from things like Macklemore, Jon Bellion, John Legend, and Horrorshow, to more chilled-out artists such as Hozier, Pearl Jam, Ryan Adams, and The XX, from there to artists like Nick Murphy/Chet Faker, Alt-J, Cold War Kids, and The Kooks, all the way right through to some more alternative bands like Periphery, Polaris, Royal Blood, A Day To Remember, The Comfort, Parkway Drive, The Devin Townsend Project, and Metallica.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So hard to limit! Most amazing travel experience was definitely waking up to my first white Christmas in the most picturesque town, Shiga Kogen in Japan. Most amazing physical thing? Perhaps abseiling down a waterfall in Vanuatu? Or Achievement? Perhaps either representing my State at the National Acrobatic Gymnastic Championships, or having a paper I wrote published on Natural Law v Positivist Legal Theories.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love sharing my knowledge as much as I love gaining new knowledge.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If you have kids, I am a qualified gymnastics coach with a senior first aid certificate and blue card (which in Australia, means they've given you a thorough background check to work with children) this could perhaps mean some free gymnastics lessons, or babysitting (depending on the tightness of schedules?). I also may not be the best cook in the world, but I make some pretty good pasta, love doing some roast veggies, and have perfected my signature spicy salmon tacos, and I love making enough to share - can also take requests :) If you're wanting to learn English I will be very happy to speak English with you, I would also love to learn some of your language too if you speak another.
