About Me

ABOUT ME

My life seems to be all about hostelling these days. I am travelling the world by working and living in hostels. My ultimate aim is to open my own, where or when that will be is anyone´s guess.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven´t indulged in the couchsurfing way of life as much as I´d like to and intend to get into some events this year. Perhaps finally I will have a couch (or non-dorm room with less than 4 other inhabitants) that I can share again soon.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had plenty of travellers staying with me in the past but unfortunately it was prior to joining the website.
For 2 years I worked at the YHA in my hometown of Adelaide. When I wasnt at work I still spent a fair amount of my time hanging around the hostel making friends with travellers.
The urge to spend some time on the other side of the reception desk got so strong that I sold all my possesions in exchange for a 1 way ticket to Paris. Since then I've been meeting up with people I met through the hostel, all over Europe and the UK to see how they live.

Interests

Some things I like:
-Hiking
-Biking
-Baking (although I hate eating sweets, I cook them like a champ)
-Cooking (show me all your food that is about to go bad and I will show you...a stew with all your old food that tastes amazing!)
-Couching (in every sense of the word, what a great piece of furniture)
-Crouching (not really, it just fit with the wordplay)
-Chatting
-Batting (tennis)
-Betting (usually over drunken debate)
-Writing
-Biting (into food, not necks or anything)
-Dancing (terribly)
-Prancing (to catch the metro)
-Sewing
-Going (all over the world!)

Hit me up and let's do some of these things together.

You wouldnt be able to tell from this very simply written description that I enjoy writing, but typing on an iphone annoys me more than anything!
It´s my main passion so couple of months ago I started writing a book, turns out all this lazy time travelling has been good for something after all!
Now that I live in Barcelona I have a little job on the side writing about this city that I love so much and a blog for silly tidbits.

A Clockwork Orange is my favourite book AND movie.
Mick Foley, any of the classics.
Anything that Wes Anderson has touched and turned to odd gold.
As for music, you couldn´t get more diverse than whats on my ipod and I´m always up for live gigs.
