ABOUT ME

I grew up in a small town in Ontario, went to school in Vancouver for my undergrad and recently lived in Halifax for a little more school, and then needed a break. I've always been interested in traveling and community - it started with a trip I took to Costa Rica when I was 15 with an outdoor ed program where we did some development work, it was pretty eye opening to see a completely different part of the world. Since then I've been fortunate to travel all over Europe. I've also had the incredible experience of tree planting for 5 seasons throughout Canada. After last season I bought an old car and drove it from the pacific after hiking the juan de fuca trail, right over to the Atlantic to move to Halifax. I love traveling in Canada - and when I eventually settle again I would love to host some couch surfers and play tour guide!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to couch surfing - I didn't end up using it when I signed up a few years ago, but am really excited about becoming a part of this community now. It's amazing to know that there are similar minded people all over the world who are interested in building strong community ties, who actually care about others, and want to share their knowledge and experiences to help others understand how they live.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't had any technical CS experiences, but if I do say so myself I am a great host! I had lots of visitors, friends and family, come out to Halifax this past year and I had a great time showing them around and helping them get to know the city!

I enjoy traveling, cooking dinner with friends, biking, reading, hiking, singing along to my less than mediocre skills with my guitar, dancing, spending time with friends and family, philosophy, yoga, running, meeting new people...
