Hey,
I'm Becca I live in the humble little southern state of Tassie, on a gorgeous cherry orchard that is equal distance from the beach and the bush. I enjoy a good city but in my heart can't wait to get out to small towns, deserted beaches and high mountains. I'd like to say I'm an opptomistic, easy going, bright kinda person.
I'm a nurse by trade though I quit my job to embark on a few months travel starting in Sri Lanka and now in Europe.
This is my first time on couchsurfer. I've been pretty lucky to have been able to couchsurf with friends I met when I did my exchange in Costa Rica and people my family has hosted. Nothing makes a town or place more alive and appreciated than when you get to explore it with the locals.
I've just met up with my chirpy, pink haird school friend Ira who has been traveling/living (Germany ) in Europe for the past 15 months. We're spending September together traveling through Europe and we can't imagine traveling without meeting up with a whole variety of people along the way.

I have never travelled without meeting up with friends or family along the way, I'm now travelling to areas where I don't know any locals and I just know that my travel will not be the same without sharing a beer or meal with some locals.

兴趣

Ocean swimming, snorkeling, picking cherries on sunny days, exploring small towns, bushwalking (hiking), camping, cooking with my Grandma's, eating!, dancing salsa, speaking Spanish, picnics in parks, summer drinking, creating cocktails, running slowly, rafting (total novice), being a nurse.

Awe inspiring moments include - swimming with crocodiles in NT, standing in front of a 2100 year old buddah statue, walking pre-dawn to catch amazing Sri Lankan sunrises from high places, rafting/capsizing in costa rica, jumping off the calanques de cassis.

As a nurse you are privy to the most intimate, life changing, romantic, horrific, heart breaking moments of a person's life. Finding out someone's story, what they have to teach and share is what makes my world go round.
