About Me

Hi! I've made this profile for both myself and my boyfriend of almost 6 years, Greg Martin :)

Greg and I have been living together with our two wonderful American Eskimo Dogs, Fresco and Dante, in Pacific Beach, San Diego, California since October 2011. Greg went to school in SD and became a physical therapy assistant. I have been bartending and teaching/mostly practicing yoga in our community since we moved here. We are both very social, caring, outgoing people with a love for life and curiosity for adventure, and we love sharing that love with everyone we come across. Between our own years of individual travels through the world, living in and bartending in a highly touristy beach town over the last 5+ years, we've gotten to meet so many amazing people from all over the world. Greg and I have never hesitate to open our couch up to many of those brand new friends. Many friends in town call our place a studio hostel, but we like to call it the studio mansion. Now we'll be traveling to our own amazing getaway destinations and adventure and looking for the couch karma to lighten our journeys :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Together, Greg and I have been unofficially "couch surfing" and hosting "couch surfers" for the last 5 and a half years. We are now about to take a 10 week trip through Southeast Asia, stopping in Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Myanmar and Bali, and would love to be hosted and to meet locals!

Interests

Greg and I are both big snowboarders, so since it's been a great winter, that's been our big attraction. Living in San Diego, we also love to surf, hike, bike, bar hop, beach bum, go to the dog park, hang out in the backyard with all our amazing friends and neighbors, throw epic pool parties, have amazing times and go on excellent adventures.

Music, Movies, and Books

gotta admit, I love 90s and early 2000s hip hop and r&b, really anything in that era tho, and Greg and I will throw down on some mad karaoke.

Movies are dope, we don't really watch too many in theaters, but can be caught with a night or two of netflix a week., if that.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in Costa Rica for 2 years, right near the beach! Which is where I met and fell in love with the sweetest man I've ever known, my guy Greg :)

He may not tell you this, but one of the most amazing things Greg has ever done, is quit his 9-5 day job as a PTA, in which he worked so so so very hard to get to, to be able to take an opportunity and travel with me, live life a little differently and see that the world is not all about working to save to one day experience.

We're now doing this together, living on the road and traveling the world.
This is our amazing thing <3

Teach, Learn, Share

I feel like I'm constantly teaching and I love it. I want to experience life and learn life's lessons, so I can share what I know, have seen and lived, with everyone I meet.

Greg is constantly learning. He researches, he delves deep into topics of interest, then when the time comes, he has that knowledge or skill to share with anyone who needs or wants it.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Greg and I are kind, flexible and adventurous people who would love to share our adventures with you in your home town :) We're all about supporting and living locally, we would like to share our excitement about your town, customs and events with you as a host, if you're down to play tour guide for a minute :)
